Slinkee Minx, an Australian dance act formed in Melbourne in 2001 by Annemarie Failla, Michelle Palmer and Belinda Tartaglia, emerged from a trio of singers who had been performing together since adolescence. Their breakthrough came with the 2004 cover of Belinda Carlisleâs "Summer Rain", which peaked at number 5 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, reached Number 1 on the ARIA Dance Charts, and topped the DMC World Hard House Chart; the single was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association. In the same year the duo released "Closer" and "Careless Whisper", both achieving Top ten dance chart positions. The groupâs debut album, Electric Dreams, arrived in July 2007, featuring tracks such as "Way of Life" and "Someday" and showcasing collaborations with producers like Josh G. Abrahams and Ivan Gough. Slinkee Minx continued to appear on international compilations, including the UKâs Clubland series, and performed at major events such as the 20th Anniversary SAFM Sky Show in Adelaide. After Belinda Tartaglia departed in 2010, the remaining members released "Lift Me Up" in 2015 and remastered "Summer Rain" in 2016, maintaining chart presence in Australia and the United Kingdom. The group have supported numerous charitable causes throughout its career.
