By 1970, she'd left the entertainment business and moved to the Virgin Islands, where she lived until the late 1980s. Returning home, she re-recorded one of her older singles and released it as "You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)" in 1994, mounting a wildly popular comeback. "You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)" reached number 58 in the US and dominated European airwaves, peaking at number 3 in the UK and earning a gold certification. The song appeared on her debut album, No, No, No, which was also released in 1994. Hitting number 25 in Austrian and number 51 in the UK, the album marked the commercial peak of her career. She remained popular with cult audiences, though, and even appeared on the Gorillaz' single "Crocadillaz" in 2023.
