Biography
Dawn of Relic, a Finnish black metal band formed in 1993 in Oulu, Finland, was founded by Jukka Juntunen. The group released their debut full-length album, One Night In Carcosa, in 1999 on Wicked World Records (aka Earache Records), featuring session vocalists Nazgul and Mika Tönning. Their subsequent album, Lovecraftian Dark (2003), was released under Season of Mist and drew inspiration from the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The band's final release before a hiatus was Night On Earth in 2005, with vocals by Kai "K.J. Khaos" Jaakkola. Dawn of Relic became inactive after November 2005 due to lineup changes but resumed activities in 2009 for the Jalometalli festival, featuring a new lineup including Rami Keränen, Sampo Heikkinen, and Ville Lind.
