Biography

David Sztanke is French composer and musician who began his classical music training as a child learning percussion before deciding to concentrate on piano during his teenage years. He spent a year as an intern at the famous Juilliard School in New York studying jazz saxophone under the mentorship of Mario Riviera before eventually returning to France in 2004. After a brief period playing for rapper Mike Ladd, Sztanke founded Tahiti Boy and the Palmtree Family, an ensemble comprised of some of France's best up-and-coming musical talents. The band's first album 'Good Children Go to Heaven' (2008) was an immediate success and hailed by many critics as an outstanding collection of material. On the strength of the album Sztanke ws asked to compose the music for the film 'Fashionweek' and this marked the beginning of his career as a film score composer. He has gone on to become regarded as one of France's most exciting talents in this field. He still continues to produce music as Tahiti Boy and has also written and produced music for a wide variety of artists such as Jane Birkin, Micky Green, Oxmo Puccino and many others.
