Biography
An electronic duo formed in London in 2007 by James Young and Aiden Whalley, Darkstar debuted on the Hyperbub label founded by Kode9 with the acclaimed release of the album North in 2009. Four years later, the Britons joined Warp Records. In the process, they abandoned their dark, melancholy dubstep for synthetic dream pop, and unveiled a second opus entitled News from Nowhere. After two EPs, 01484 and HD7, featuring remixes of their own tracks, the musicians released a new studio album in 2015, Foam Island.
