Dark Moor, a Spanish power metal band from Madrid, was formed in 1993 by guitarists Enrik Garcia and Javier Rubio. They released three demos before signing with Arise Records and debuting with Shadowland in 1999. The band's lineup included Elisa Candelas Martin on vocals, Enrik Garcia and Albert Maroto on guitars, Anan Kaddouri on bass, Roberto Peña de Camus on keyboards, and Jorge Saez on drums. Following the release of The Hall of the Olden Dreams (2000) and the mini-album The Fall of Melniboné (2001), internal changes led to the departure of Elisa Martin, Albert Maroto, and Jorge Sáez, who formed Dreamaker. The remaining members recruited Alfred Romero on vocals, Jose Garrido on guitar, and Andy C. on drums. They released the self-titled album Dark Moor (2003) and subsequent albums included Beyond the Sea (2005), Tarot (2006), Autumnal (2009), Ancestral Romance (2010), Ars Musica (2013), Project X (2015), and Origins (2018).
