Dara Starr Tucker, born Dara Tucker in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is an American singer. She began singing harmony with her siblings at age four and learned piano at eight. Tucker's family performed extensively across various states. Tucker moved to Nashville in 2004 to pursue a career as a singer-songwriter after studying international business and German studies. Her debut album, All Right Now, was released in 2009 featuring Great American Songbook standards. In 2011, she released Soul Said Yes, blending R&B, jazz, and gospel with contributions from Charlie Hunter. Notable achievements include winning Jazz Vocalist of the Year at the Nashville Industry Music Awards in 2016 and 2017, with "Radio" from Oklahoma Rain named Song of the Year. Tucker has performed internationally since 2009.
