Biography

Danny Berrios, born on October 29, 1961, in Miami, Florida, is a trailblazing figure in Spanish-language contemporary Christian music, known for his powerful voice and passion for ministry. Raised in a devout Christian home by his Cuban mother, Clara, and Puerto Rican father, evangelist José "Pepito" Berrios, he began his journey in music early, taking piano lessons at nine and vocal training by twelve. His ministry began in 1980 with his debut performance in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala, alongside his father, which set the stage for a prolific career of live performances, evangelistic events, and over 25 albums. Danny Berrios has collaborated on crusades with prominent Christian leaders like Luis Palau and Yiye Ávila, and shared stages with U.S. evangelical figures such as Billy Graham and Jimmy Swaggart. His 2009 album Voy a Profetizar saw him experiment with salsa, while his 2015 album, El Mensaje de la Cruz, continued his focus on themes of faith and resilience. More recently, he introduced his daughter Danielly to the Christian music scene in a 2020 collaboration. Danny Berrios’s work has achieved widespread recognition, including a 1986 gold record for Gloria a Dios.
