Biography

Blending folk, country, bluegrass and Americana, but writing in French, Dalton Telegramme began in 2010 with four teenage friends from small villages near Liège, Belgium. The group quickly amassed a wealth of stage experience, performing at renowned festivals such as Francofolies de Spa, Botanique, Bucolique festival and Ferme du Biereau. In 2011, Dalton Telegramme won the 2011 edition of the "Musique à ma française" competition, and also won the opportunity to perform in Montreal. Two years later, TV5 Monde organized its fifth and final edition of the "Les Talents Acoustic" competition, which the band won after deliberation by a jury presided over by Thomas Dutronc and Brigitte. After discovering the Quebec francophone scene, Dalton Telegramme decided to release their debut album, Sous la Fourrure, in 2016. Produced by Séb Martel, known for his collaborations with -M-, Tony Allen and Camille, it featured 12 tracks and enabled the group to assert itself before following up in 2019 with the album Victoria, also featuring 12 new tracks.
