Biography

Daishi Suzuki, known professionally as Daishi Dance, was born in 1976 in Japan and is a DJ and record producer. Based in Sapporo and performing throughout Japan, Daishi Dance is known for melodious and melancholic house mixes and using three turntables. In July 2008, Daishi Dance released The Ghibli Set, an album containing 12 licensed remixes of songs featured in Studio Ghibli movies, which reached number 12 on the Oricon charts and remained there for three weeks. He has performed at various events with artists such as Studio Apartment and FreeTEMPO, and has been a regular performer at clubs like CLUB YELLOW in Roppongi and ageHa in Shinkiba, Tokyo. Daishi Dance's discography includes albums such as Spectacle. (2009), Wonder Tourism (2012), and Gekimori (2014). He has also produced original works for artists like Mika Nakashima and Miliyah Kato, and remixes for Ayumi Hamasaki and Carly Rae Jepsen.
