Biography
Dadafon was a Norwegian jazz-rock band from Trondheim, formed in 1995 under the name Coloured Moods by drummer Martin Smidt. The group, which featured vocalist Kristin Asbjørnsen and guitarist Jostein Ansnes, released its debut studio album, Coloured Moods, in 1998. After renaming themselves Dadafon in 2000, they released And I Can't Stand Still (2001), followed by the EP Release Me (2002) and the studio album Visitor, which arrived on October 3, 2002. Visitor earned the band a nomination for the Spellemannprisen in the pop group category and won the Norwegian Alarmprisen in the jazz category in 2003. After signing with Universal Music Norway, the band released Harbour (2004) and Lost Love Chords, which was released on August 29, 2005. The latter included the songs "I Wish to Weep" and "Slow Day", which were featured in Bent Hamer's 2005 film Factotum.
