Biography
Da Vinci's Notebook were an American comedic a cappella group from Alexandria, Virginia, formed in 1993. The founding lineup consisted of Bernie Muller-Thym, Greg "Storm" DiCostanzo, Paul Sabourin, and Richard Hsu, with bass singer Jay Jones performing with the group until 1994. They achieved professional recognition after winning the Mid-Atlantic Harmony Sweepstakes in 1997. They released the debut extended play Somebody Else's Greatest Hits (1995) and the debut studio album Bendy's Law (1997). Their recording career includes the studio albums The Life and Times of Mike Fanning (1999) and Brontosaurus (2002), the latter featuring their most popular track, âEnormous Penisâ. The group performed specials for Comedy Central and PBS and served as the house band for the radio station WBIG-FM. Following their disbandment in 2004, Sabourin and DiCostanzo established the musical duo Paul and Storm. The ensemble recorded the track âThe Ballad of The Sneakâ (2003) for the website Homestar Runner. Their composition âAnother Irish Drinking Songâ (2001) was featured with adapted lyrics in the film Despicable Me 2 (2013).
