Carsten Valentin Jørgensen, known professionally as CV Jørgensen, was born on May 9, 1950, in Denmark. He is a Danish composer and singer-songwriter who sings exclusively in Danish. His music career began with the release of his first album En Stynet Strejfer in 1974. Throughout the late 1970s and early 1980s, Jørgensen released several notable albums including Storbyens Små Oaser, Vild I Varmen, and Solgt Til Stanglakrids. His album Tidens Tern from 1980 was selected for the Danish Culture Canon in 2006, marking a significant achievement in his career. Jørgensen's discography includes over a dozen albums, with notable releases such as Indian Summer, I Det Muntre Hjørne, and Sjælland. His songs are known for their mellow style and inventive lyrics, often addressing societal hypocrisy or existential themes.
