Cub Country, an American solo indie rock band project, was formed by Jets to Brazil bassist Jeremy Chatelain. He began writing alt-country material in 1998 that did not fit with his main group's sound. In 2000, Cub Country released their first album High Uinta High through Jade Tree Records on February 19, 2002, featuring collaborations with Cashe Tolman of Rival Schools and Chris Traynor of Helmet. In 2004, Chatelain released Stay Poor, Stay Happy through Future Farmer label, which included contributions from Jeff Clarke, Justin Ansley, and Matt Sumrow. Subsequent albums include Stretch That Skull Cover & Smile in 2009 and Repeat Until Death in 2014. The band became inactive in 2014.
