Christopher Andrés Ãlvarez GarcÃa, professionally known as Cris MJ, is a Chilean singer. He was born on September 16, 2001, in La Serena, Chile. He began his musical journey in 2019, rapidly making a name for himself in the reggaeton genre. He started by collaborating with various artists in Chile's urban music genre across 2019 and 2020. In 2021, he released the single "Los Malvekes." In January 2022, Cris MJ released the single "Una Noche en MedellÃn," which went viral on social media and appeared on various song charts, marking his rise to international prominence. This success was followed by his performance at Summer Fest 2022 and his first headlining tour, with dates in Mexico and other countries. In early 2022, Cris MJ collaborated with Standly on the hit song "Marisola," which gained considerable success and was later remixed with Duki and Nicki Nicole. He continued to release successful collaborations, including "Yo No Me Olvido" with Gotay, "Sextime" with Polimá Westcoast and Young Cister, and "Me ArrepentÃ" with Ak4:20 and Pailita. These releases helped him become the most popular Chilean artist on streaming platforms. Partyson, his debut album, came out in 2023 and featured contributions from Hades66, Dei V, Pablo Chill-E, Luar la L, and Yan Block. In February 2024, Cris MJ collaborated with FloyyMenor on the hit single "Gata Only," which reached Number 1 on both the Chilean charts and the US Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart. His second studio album Apocalipsis, released in 2025, included standout tracks such as "Vamo a Bailotear," "Conmigo Se Escapa," and "Braile."
