Creeper Lagoon, formed in 1991 by Sharky Laguana in Sanâ¯Francisco, California, began as a solo project that evolved into a quartet with Ianâ¯Sefchick, Geoffreyâ¯Chisholm, and Patrickâ¯Mangan. The group released the EP Creeper Lagoon in 1997, followed by the album I Become Small and Go in 1998. Singles "Dear Deadly" and "The Fountain" appeared that year, and the band received Spin magazineâs Best New Artist award. In 2001, they signed with DreamWorks and issued Take Back the Universe and Give Me Yesterday. Although the band split after the album's release, Laguana continued to record using the name Creeper Lagoon and released the EP Remember the Future (2002) and the album Long Dry Cold (2006). In 2017, the band reunited for performances in San Francisco and New York.
