Biography

Crashdog, a Christian punk band from the United States, formed in 1990. The group initially consisted of Andrew Mandell on lead vocals, Greg Jacques on drums, Brian Grover on bass, Jason Burt and Mike Perlmutter on guitars. Their debut album, Hard Knocks for Hard Heads, was released under Grrr Records/Rrrough in the same year. Crashdog gained attention for their direct lyrics addressing social and political issues, a rarity among Christian punk bands at the time. Crashdog's subsequent albums included Humane Society (1990), The Pursuit of Happiness (1993), Mud Angels (1994), Cashists, Fascists, and Other Fungus (1995), and Outer Crust (1997). Their final release before disbanding was the compilation album 8 Years to Nowhere in 1998. The band went on hiatus after this release due to drummer Greg Jacques starting a new record label, 2 Jake Records. Crashdog reformed briefly for shows at Cornerstone in 2012.
