Biography
CrashCarBurn is a South African rock band formed in London in 2006 and based in South Africa from early 2007, fronted by vocalist Garth Barnes. Their debut album This City Needs a Hero was released in 2007, recorded at Miloco Studios with Colin Richardson and Matt Hyde, and the single âSerenadeâ entered 5FM's Hi5@5 that August. The group followed with extensive touring, including the XBOX 360 Summer Tour, Powerzone Roadshows, and a 2008 appearance at MyCokeFest supporting Muse, Good Charlotte, and Korn, while winning the mtvU Freshmen competition for the âSerenadeâ video. In 2009 they recorded Long Live Tonight with producer Mark Trombino, releasing it in June 2010. The band also performed on the 2008 Vans Warped Tour and on Kerrang Radio, achieving international exposure.
