Biography
Founded in Perth, Australia in 2016, Coterie is an alternative/indie Australian-New Zealand band, formed by brothers Tyler, Joshua, Brandford and Conrad Fisher. After moving from New Zealand to Australia with their family, the brothers worked on a variety of music projects, collaborating with musicians in the local music scene, releasing their first single âWhere We Beganâ in 2019. The band signed with Island Records, releasing three singles in 2020, âSalvationâ, âSay Goodbyeâ and âIn the Fireâ. After parting ways with the label in 2021, the band continued to release singles independently, including âGood Morningâ and the soulful reggae-pop hit âCool it Downâ which reached number 2 on the NZ Singles charts, and certified gold. In 2022, Coterie achieved similar success with the re-release of âCool it Downâ (asâPurea/Cool it Downâ) followed by âKilling it Offâ, on April 29, 2022 which reached number 1 on the NZ Singles Chart. After performing to sold-out crowds with fellow New Zealand band SIX60, the band released âWest Coast Driveâ on September 9, 2022, marking the start of their 2022/2023 Australian tour.
