Biography

Concrete Sox, a British crust punk band from Nottingham, was formed in 1984. Early members included Andy as vocalist and Kalvin Piper on bass. In 1985, Concrete Sox released their debut demo, securing a record deal with Children Of The Revolution Records. Their first album, Your Turn Next, was released in 1986. The following year saw the release of Concrete Sox / Heresy split LP and Whoops Sorry Vicar!, marking a shift to Manic Ears Records. Bassist Les Duly left the band in 1987, replaced by Kalvin Piper. In 1989, Victor Timoveric departed, and Rick Button was brought in as session guitarist for their tour with Doom. The album No World Order was released in 1993 before they disbanded in 1994 following a financially disastrous European tour. Concrete Sox reformed in 2009 and again in 2012 before disbanding for good.
