Biography

Anti Cimex were a Swedish punk band formed in 1981. The founding lineup consisted of Tomas "Freke" Jonsson, Nils "Nillen" Andersson, Charlie Claeson, and Joakim "Jocke" Pettersson. They released their debut extended play, Anarkist Attack (1982), before Jonsson replaced Andersson on vocals. Their second extended play, Raped Ass (1983), is recognized as a defining record of the hardcore genre. Following a period of inactivity, the ensemble regrouped in 1990 with guitarist Cliff Lundberg and released the studio album Absolut Country of Sweden (1990). Their recording career includes the mini-LP Criminal Trap (1986) and the live recording Made in Sweden (1993). Their final studio album, Scandinavian Jawbreaker (1993), was issued before the ensemble disbanded.
