Clara Elena Moroni is an Italian singer, songwriter, and producer born on November 3, 1964, in Milan. She began her career in the punk rock group the Arms before transitioning into the recording industry as a backing vocalist for artists such as Loredana Bertè. In 1990, she released her debut studio album, Chi ha paura di chi, under the name Clara & Black Cars, followed by Spiriti in 1992. Moroni founded Delta Records in 1995, becoming a prominent figure in the Eurobeat genre under the pseudonym âCherryâ. In 1996, she joined Vasco Rossiâs band as a backing vocalist, a role she held until 2017 and which earned her the nickname âthe Ferrari of rockâ. After living in San Francisco for several years, she released the English-language solo album Ten Worlds in 2004. Her later discography includes Bambina brava in 2010, the 2012 EP Sono quello che sono, and the 2018 studio album Unica.
