Biography

City Light Thief, originally known as Whisk?! and later renamed in 2009, is a German post-hardcore/post-punk band from Grevenbroich. It was founded in 2003 by Benjamin Mirtschin, Tobias Schmidt, and Roman Laube. The band experienced several lineup changes, including the addition of Tobias Brings and Robert Matyjaszczyk in 2007. The band gained significant attention with their performance at Rock am Ring Festival in 2008. Following the name change to City Light Thief, they released their first full-length album Laviin in 2010, which included the single "Golden Roots". In 2013, they released their third studio album Vacilando, showcasing more complex song structures and choral elements.
