Biography

Christine Delaroche, born Christine Palle on May 24, 1944 in Paris, France, was a French singer and actress. She began her career with simultaneous studies in sociology at the Sorbonne and dramatic arts under Tania Balachova before being admitted to the Conservatoire in 1963. Delaroche's music career started in the mid-1960s with the release of singles "Les Tigres et les Minets" (1967) and "Je les aime comme ça" (1968), both composed by her then-husband Guy Bontempelli. Notable albums include Au féminin (1978) and J'aime (1995). Delaroche also appeared in various television shows, including the British series Chapeau melon et bottes de cuir in 1977. She also starred in several musicals such as Cendrillon (1966) and Napoléon (1984-1988).
