Chris Corsano, born in 1975, is an American musician and drummer known for his work in rock, jazz, and improvisational music. He began his musical journey as a rock musician during high school, playing punk before shifting his focus to improvisational music while studying at Hampshire College in Amherst, Massachusetts. Corsano's early career included collaborations with various bands such as 13 Gauge and No-Neck Blues Band. Corsano's discography includes notable albums like The Young Cricketer (2006) and collaborations with artists such as Björk on her album Volta and Six Organs of Admittance. He has been involved in numerous jazz recordings, working with musicians including Nels Cline, Paul Dunmall, Evan Parker, and Joe McPhee. His work spans various genres and styles, showcasing his versatility and skill as a drummer.
