Chima's parents immigrated to Germany from Nigeria in the early 1960s. His musical journey began in the mid-1990s as part of the English-language rap group Otropic T(h)ree with Aisha and Ismael Abdallah, though their debut album did not achieve commercial success. Chima's breakthrough came in 2000 when he joined Brothers Keepers, achieving national recognition with the Number 4 single "Adriano (Letzte Warnung)".
