Chihiro Yonekura, born on 19 August 1972 in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan, is a Japanese singer and songwriter. During her university years, she sent demo tapes to recording companies, leading to her big break with the opening song "Arashi no Naka de Kagayaite" for the anime Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. She released her debut single containing both "Arashi no Naka de Kagayaite" and "10 Years After", marking a successful start to her career. In 1996, she released three other singles and an album titled Believe, quickly gaining a large fanbase. Yonekura's career continued with notable albums such as Transistor Glamour (1997), always (1998), and Colours (1999). Her song "Just Fly Away" became the opening theme for Rokumon Tengai Moncolle Knight, further establishing her presence in the anime industry. Over the years, she released numerous albums and singles including "Butterfly Kiss" (2001), "Hidamari Wo Tsurete" (2002), and "Eien No Hana" (2005). Her 2005 album Cheers celebrated her success. Significant achievements include the release of compilation albums like BEST OF CHIHIROX (2004) and BEST OF CHIHIROX II (2015), as well as collaborations such as "Naked Soul" with TOPGUN for the game SD Gundam G Generation World.
