Nicholas James Murphy, who now goes by Nick Murphy, is an Australian singer-songwriter who used the name Chet Faker from 2011 to 2016 and had success on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Charts. 'Built On Glass' (2014) reached number six on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums Chart and EP 'Work' (2015) with Marcus Marr went to number nine. The single '1998' (2015) featuring Banks peaked at number 31 on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart and 'The Trouble With Us' (2015) with Marcus Marr reached number 47. In 2016 he announced through a Facebook post that subsequent recordings would be released under his own name, Nick Murphy. He released an EP titled 'Missing Link' in 2017.
