Biography
Chen Reiss is an Israeli operatic soprano who was born in 1979 in Herzliya. She began piano studies at age 5 and voice lessons at age 14, deciding to focus on vocal training at age 16. Following her military service in the IDF Orchestra, Reiss moved to New York City and later joined the Bavarian State Opera in 2002. She performed at venues including the Vienna State Opera, Teatro alla Scala, and the Royal Opera House. In 2006, she recorded the soundtrack for the film Das Parfum â Die Geschichte eines Mörders. Her recordings include the album Liaisons (2011), which received a Diapason d'Or award. In 2018, she made her debut at the Royal Opera House as Zerlina in the production of Don Giovanni.
