Cheek Mountain Thief is the musical project of Mike Lindsay, a founding member of the folk band Tunng. The project was inspired by Lindsayâs time in Iceland, where he collaborated with local musicians. The debut album, Cheek Mountain Thief, was released in 2012 to positive reviews and features collaborations with several Icelandic musicians and was recorded in Iceland. Cheek Mountain Thief combines elements of folk and indie music, reflecting Lindsayâs experiences and influences from Iceland.
