Biography

Ché-SHIZU, a Japanese underground improv/folk group, was formed in 1980. The band is known for its member Chie Mukai who is popular for her distinctive vocals and er-hu playing. Notable musicians such as Tori Kudo and Masami Tada have been part of the group at various times. The band's discography includes albums like A Journey (1994), a live compilation Live (1996) released in 1997, and Glimmering Star (1999). The group's unique sound and contributions have made them a notable presence in the Japanese underground music scene.
