Charles Thomas Cozens, born July 29, 1952 in Canada, is a versatile musician known for his roles as a conductor, composer, arranger, and performer. He began playing piano by ear at age three and started formal music lessons at 11. Cozens' early education included studies at The Berklee College of Music and The University of Toronto. His breakthrough came when he was labeled "one of Canadaâs premier arrangers" by Hugh Fraser of the Hamilton Spectator. Cozens has composed and arranged for various artists and ensembles, including Quartetto Gelato, The Canadian Brass, and Rosemary Clooney. He conducted the Orquesta de Villa Clara in Cuba in 2013 and continues to work with them periodically. Notable projects include creating The Burlington New Millennium Orchestra and recording 16 CDs of Mozart for the Mozart Effect brand in 2017. Cozens joined Quartetto Gelato as their accordionist in 2018, further expanding his musical contributions.
