César Menotti & Fabiano is a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed in 2001 by brothers César Menotti da Silva and Fabiano José da Silva, who grew up in Minas Gerais and started out playing bars and university parties before breaking nationally in the mid-2000s. Their career took off after signing with Universal and releasing the CD/DVD Palavras de Amor (Ao Vivo) (2005), a record that helped reconnect a younger audience with âmodãoâ storytelling through big live arrangements and radio staples like âLeilãoâ and âComo Um Anjo.â They consolidated that rise with studio and live projects across the late 2000s, including .com_você (2007) and Voz do Coração (Ao Vivo) (2008), and their run of major live releases also brought them into the Latin Grammy conversation through nominations in the sertanejo album category during that era. In the 2010s, they kept their profile anchored in large-scale touring and audience-facing albums that leaned into memory, romance, and classic repertoire (including the Memórias series), maintaining a presence in Brazilâs biggest rodeo and festival circuit. In the 2020s, the duo doubled down on concept-live projects and anniversary framing: they released Os Menotti No Observatório, Vol. 1 (Ao Vivo) and Vol. 2 (Ao Vivo) (both 2023), then turned 2024â2025 into a 20-year celebration with XX Anos â Intensidade (Ao Vivo) (2024) and follow-ups like XX Anos Intensidade â Deluxe (Ao Vivo) (2025) and Memórias III (Ao Vivo) (2025).
