CD9, a Mexican boyband formed in 2013, emerged from the initiative of Jos Canela, Alonso Villalpando, Alan Navarro, Freddy Leyva, and Bryan Mouque, who gathered in Mexico City to create a pop group that would appeal to a young audience. Their breakthrough came with the 2014 single "Ãngel Cruel" and the selfâtitled debut album CD9, which topped Mexican physical and digital charts and earned a gold certification from AMPROFON; the group also won Best Artist and Best Song at the 2014 Kids' Choice Awards México. Subsequent releases followed a steady trajectory: Evolution (2016) achieved platinum status and produced hits such as "I Feel Alive" and "Déjà Vu"; the remix of "No Le Hablen de Amor" (2017) expanded their reach into urban music. In 2018, the album 1.0 added collaborations with Feid and Edgar Barrera and received another gold award. After a period of inactivity, the group announced a reunion tour in 2024, culminating in a soldâout farewell concert at Arena Ciudad de México on 19 July 2024.
