Biography

Calpurnia was a Canadian indie rock band formed in 2017 in Vancouver. The group included Finn Wolfhard on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Malcolm Craig on drums, Ayla Tesler-Mabe on lead guitar and vocals, and Jack Anderson on bass and vocals. They released their debut single, "City Boy," on June 15, 2018, which debuted at number 23 on the Billboard Alternative Digital Song Sales chart. Their first EP, Scout, was also released that day, featuring tracks like "Louie" and "Greyhound." The band signed with Royal Mountain Records in November 2017. In February 2019, Calpurnia appeared in Weezer's music video for their cover of a-ha’s "Take On Me." The band announced their disbandment on November 8, 2019.
