Burden of a Day was an American post-hardcore band from Sarasota, Florida, formed in January 2000. The group initially started as a worship band in church before transitioning to secular music to reach a broader audience. In 2005, they signed with independent label Blood & Ink Records and released their debut full-length album Pilots & Paper Planes in 2006. Burden of a Day then signed to Rise Records for their 2008 release Blessed Be Our Ever After. The band's 2009 album Oneonethousand reached number 25 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and number 21 on the Heatseekers chart. Burden of a Day played their final show in Sarasota on March 6, 2010.
