Amos Easton, known professionally as Bumble Bee Slim, was born on May 7, 1905, in Brunswick, Georgia. He was a blues musician who began his career in Indianapolis where he met Leroy Carr. In 1931, Easton recorded his first single for Paramount Records and subsequently released several albums including Bumble Bee Slim Vol. 1 (1931-1934) and Bumble Bee Slim Vol. 2 (1934). His popularity peaked in the 1930s, with notable releases such as "Baby So Long" and Bumble Bee Slim: From Georgia To Chicago (1931-1937). Easton continued to perform in clubs throughout his career, notably in Los Angeles. He passed away on June 8, 1968.
