Buffalo Daughter is a Japanese rock band formed in 1993 by suGar Yoshinaga (vocals, guitar), Yumiko Ohno (vocals, bass), and MoOog Yamamoto (vocals, turntables). The group emerged from Shibuya, Tokyo, and initially signed with the independent label Cardinal. Their early releases included EPs like Shaggy Head Dressers (1994) and Amoebae Sound System (1995). Buffalo Daughter gained wider exposure when they signed with Grand Royal Records, releasing albums such as Captain Vapor Athletes (1996) and New Rock (1998), which peaked at number 77 in Japan. They released the album I (2001) in the United States under Emperor Norton Records. Notable collaborations include working with Ami Suzuki on the single "OK Funky God" (2007). The band's discography also includes albums like Euphorica (2006), which peaked at number 151, and We are the times (2021).
