Biography
Broken Back is the electro-folk project of Jerôme Fagnet, a French composer from Saint-Malo. As a child, he studied classical music and jazz, and learned to play the tuba. A fan of Cat stevens and Buena Vista Social Club, and a fan of Mumford and Sons and James Vincent McMorrow, his first musical steps came in 2014 in a slightly different register with the online publication of a cover of Bon Iver's "Skinny Love". He regularly posts his compositions online, attracting the interest of DJs Thomas Jack, Klingande and Kygo, who request him for collaborations. In 2015, he composed a mix of folk and deep house, the song "Halcyon Birds", which entered the best-seller charts in France. In 2016, Broken Back released a long-awaited debut studio album.
