Brazilian Girls is an American music group from New York City established in 2003. The group consists of the musicians Jesse Murphy, Didi Gutman, and Aaron Johnston. They achieved professional recognition for an eclectic musical style characterized by electronic dance music blended with tango, chanson, house, reggae, samba, and lounge. The ensemble was founded in 2003 and achieved professional recognition for performing weekly shows at the venue Nublu. Their recording career began with the extended play Lazy Lover EP (2004). Brazilian Girls achieved professional recognition for the debut eponymous studio recording Brazilian Girls (2005). They achieved professional recognition for the studio recording Talk to La Bomb (2006) which featured the single "Jique" (2006). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing on tours in the United States, Latin America, and Europe and appearing on the television programs Late Show with David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Their discography included the studio recording New York City (2008). The recording achieved professional recognition for receiving a nomination for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronica Album in 2009. The ensemble became inactive in October 2008 when the vocalist Sabina Sciubba had a child but resumed activity in April 2012. Their recording career included the studio recording Let's Make Love (2018). Brazilian Girls achieved professional recognition for resuming activity in 2025 as a trio without Sciubba.
