Brandon Dean Jenkins, born on June 7, 1969, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was an American singer-songwriter and philanthropist. He graduated from Central High School in Tulsa and attended Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, where he formed lifelong musical collaborations within the Red Dirt music community, including Cody Canada and Stoney LaRue. Jenkins began his recording career in the early 1990s with Alabama-based Rainy Records. His breakthrough came with the release of Down in Flames in 2005, which secured him a three-year record deal with his Western Soul Records imprint, distributed by Sony/RED via Thirty Tigers. Throughout his career, Jenkins released numerous albums, including collaborations such as Brothers of the Dirt (2009), featuring Cody Canada, Stoney LaRue, Jason Boland, and Randy Rogers. Notable songs include "Refinery Blues" and "Out of Babylon." Jenkins also supported the Red Dirt Relief Fund, a non-profit organization assisting musicians facing financial hardship. He passed away on March 2, 2018, in Nashville, Tennessee.
