BOYSGROUP was a Japanese idol boy band formed by WACK in 2022, comprising members Ryosei Rin, Shunji Haru, Ayuru Ryota, and later Hinata. The group emerged from WACKâs Project WACKâChin Audition and subsequent joint auditions, with the name Boysgroup officially adopted on Decemberâ¯7,â¯2022. Their debut studio album, We are Boysgroup, was released on Januaryâ¯18,â¯2023, followed by the single "Super Hero" on Mayâ¯10,â¯2023. The group performed the Boysgroupâ¯1st Oneman Tour, concluding with a final show at Esaka Muse in Osaka on Mayâ¯14,â¯2023, when the group disbanded. Throughout its brief existence, Boysgroup charted on the Oricon Albums Chart, with We are Boysgroup reaching the top 20, and "Super Hero" attaining a peak position within the top 30 on the Oricon Singles Chart. The groupâs concise discography and swift dissolution marked a notable, albeit shortâlived, chapter in contemporary Jâpop idol history.
