Barak, a contemporary Christian music group originating from Santoâ¯Domingo, Dominican Republic, was formed in the late 2000s by Angelo Frilop and Katiuska Avelino. The ensemble quickly established a distinct sound rooted in Hebrew influences, with the name Barak meaning âadoredâ in ancient Hebrew. Their breakthrough came with the release of the single "Tu Hijo Soy" in 2022, which garnered significant attention within the Latin Christian community. Chronologically, Barak debuted with the album Generacion Sedienta on 31â¯Mayâ¯2014, followed by the album Generacion Radical on 19â¯Octoberâ¯2016. The live recording Shekinah (Live) was issued on 9â¯Octoberâ¯2019, followed by Fuego & Poder on 23â¯Marchâ¯2022. Throughout their career, the group collaborated with prominent artists such as Christineâ¯DâClario, Redimi2, Mielâ¯Sanâ¯Marcos, and Alexâ¯Campos, and achieved international exposure through the hit "Venâ¯EspÃrituâ¯Santo".
