Canadian country performer Bobby Wills had an interest in music while he was growing up, but his adoptive family wasnât artistically inclined, even if his dad was a big country music fan. After some success at an open mic night as a teenager and discovering that his biological family had a number of musicians in it, Wills focused on a career in music. He spent his early 20s between his native Calgary and Nashville where he made connections that helped shape his first album, 2010âs Man with No Past. He worked the record for two years, landing a minor country hit with âLittle More Timeâ in 2011. His 2012 follow-up, If It Was That Easy, proved to be his breakthrough spinning off two top 10 country hits (âShow Some Respectâ and âSomebody Willâ). His rock-tinged sound, rooted in traditional country, crossed over to the Canadian pop charts with 2014âs âCrazy Enoughâ and âNever Didnât Love Youâ, both top 20 country tunes that climbed into the 70s of the regular pop chart. He snagged more top 10 country hits in each of the next two years. In 2020 he released the single âWash My Truckâ, which landed him back on the Canadian country charts for the fist time since 2017.
