Blue Aquarius, a funk/rock band with a big band sound, was formed in the United States in 1972. The group consisted of over 50 members who were followers of Prem Rawat and led by his brother Bhole Ji. Blue Aquarius recorded their self-titled debut album Blue Aquarius for Stax Records' Gospel Truth label in 1973, featuring guitarist Kevin Dempsey and former Bee Gees drummer Geoff Bridgford, who composed several songs on the album that were popular with Rawat's followers. The band performed at Millennium '73 before disbanding in 1974 following an order from Prem Rawat.
