Biography
Blue Amazon, an English electronic music group from Huddersfield, England, was formed by Lee Softley and James Reid. Their early career began with the release of the single "No Other Love" in 1996, which hit Number 1 on the UK Dance chart. In 1997, they released their debut studio album, The Javelin, under Jackpot Records, featuring the track "And Then the Rain Falls", which peaked at number 9 on the UK Dance chart. In 2000, Reid left the group, leaving Softley to continue under the Blue Amazon moniker as a solo act. Blue Amazon released the compilation The Best Of Blue Amazon: The Hybrid in 2011 on 7PM Records, which consolidated their most influential tracks. Throughout their career, Blue Amazon secured multiple UK chart entries and contributed to highâprofile remix projects, including for Sasha, Skunk Anansie, New Order, and Madonna. Other singles include "Breathe" (2000), "Jam Hot" (2001), and "Temperamental" (2004).
