Blood Circus was an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1986. Their first release was the single "Two Way Street"/"Six Foot Under" on Sub Pop in 1988. Mudhoney and Nirvana performed their first shows opening for Blood Circus at Seattle's Vogue. In 1989, Sub Pop released their debut EP Primal Rock Therapy. The band disbanded in 1989 following a North American tour with Les Thugs. They briefly reformed in 1992 for the re-release of Primal Rock Therapy on CD, which included five additional unreleased tracks. Blood Circus performed a one-off reunion show at Seattle's Crocodile Cafe in 2007 and had notable posthumous releases including "Six Foot Under" on the deluxe reissue of Singles: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack in May 2017, and Dead Beats, a compilation of remastered tracks released in 2020.
