Blinker the Star is the recording and performance name of Canadian musician Jordon Zadorozny, from Pembroke, Ontario. He achieved professional recognition for a musical style blending indie rock, blues, and pop. Zadorozny released the eponymous debut solo studio album Blinker the Star (1993), followed by A Bourgeois Kitten (1996) after signing with A&M Records. In 1997, he relocated to Los Angeles and contributed to the track âReasons to Be Beautifulâ on the Hole studio recording Celebrity Skin (1998). After signing with DreamWorks Records, he released the studio recording August Everywhere (1999), which featured the track âBelow the Sliding Doorsâ (1999). His recording career includes the studio recordings Still in Rome (2003), We Draw Lines (2012), and Songs From Laniakea Beach (2013). In 2021, Zadorozny received retroactive songwriting credit for the track âSwan Songâ following a copyright dispute with Lindsey Buckingham.
