Blekbala Mujik, an Australian rock and reggae group, also known as Black People's Music, was formed in 1986 in Barunga, Northern Territory by vocalist and guitarist Peter Miller, who was a member of the Northern Land Council. In 1990, Blekbala Mujik released their first two albums, Midnait Mujik and Nitmiluk, through Central Australian Aboriginal Media Association (CAAMA). They followed with the seven-track cassette Come-N-Dance in 1993. Their eponymous full-length album, Blekbala Mujik, was released in May 1996 via CAAMA and distributed by Shock Records, earning a nomination for Best Indigenous Release at the ARIA Music Awards of 1996. Their single "Walking Together" was issued in June 1997. In February 2013, they released We Are One, followed by the live compilation album Greatest Hits Live in 2014.
