Bill Allred, born William Allred on November 19, 1936, in Rock Island, Illinois, was an American musician known for his contributions to jazz and swing. He began playing in high school bands and initially performed locally. His early career saw him collaborate with various groups, including the Reedy Creek Jazz Band, with whom he released his debut album Reedy Creek Romp! in 1974. In 1971, Allred moved to Florida and frequently performed at Disney World. He also toured with Wild Bill Davison's All Stars and contributed to Davison's 1986 album Timeless. Throughout his career, Allred released several albums under his own name, including Versatility (1999), 2 the Max (2003), and Things Ain't What They Used To Be (2006). Bill Allred passed away in February 2024.
